Razer launches two latest smartphone accessories. The former is a controller that has been designed for smartphones, the Junglecat, designed if smartphones but also works with computers.
The design of the Junglecat resembles Joy-con on the Nintendo Switch. Junglecat can be used in two ways, you can either fix it to the sides of your smartphone case or you can fix the controllers on to the controller grip, this way you can use the Junglecat with Windows PCs and non-supported android phones.
Though the design of the Junglecat resembles that of Joy-con on Nintendo switch, unlike the Joy-Con in which the two halves can be used among two different people to experience the two-player mode, Junglecat doesn’t support this feature. However, there exist no games on Mobile which accepts input from two different controllers. However, unfortunately, this case design is limited to just 4 phones. In the US the design is limited to Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Samsung Galaxy S10+ and Razer Phone 2 and the design is limited to Huawei P30 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S10+ and Razer Phone 2 for the rest of the world.
In case of smartphones other than these 4, you have to use the Junglecat only with the controller grip, also there is no support at all when it comes to iOS, which is a little shocking noting that iOS gets many games before the Android and comes in with outstanding built-in controller support. The Junglecat also supports Bluetooth and Razer confirms low latency. It comes in with four buttons in the front, two buttons on the shoulder and one analog sticks on either side. There’s a port in each controller for charging, and the Junglecat charges over USB type C and has a battery life of 100 hours.
Moreover, the Junglecat comes with the Razer Gamepad App which displays all of your installed games for you, slow it allows you to change the controls for every game and if needed it could remap the buttons. Also, you can adjust the sensitivity of the analog stick according to your wish. The Razer Junglecat is now on sale and is priced at €120/ $100.
